During the past eighteen years, my day to day teaching success has been based on creating a learning environment of more student-to-student interactions, including discussions and "hands-on" math experiences.

We Make Math Fun

Inspired by her student's love for playing card games, Marilyn Curtain-Phillips, saw an opportunity to improve her student’s mental math skills by creating a playing card game, which requires players to figure out math problems to determine a particular card value. Now, students can play their favorite card games and build their mental math skills at the same time.
